21 Jun “Ilir Meta takes responsibility only for Ilir Meta and for no one else”
In respect of the citizens to whom I have served as President of the Republic, Prime Minister, Speaker of the Parliament, and in other executive and parliamentary roles, I strongly distance myself with disgust from the disinformation spread and leaked in the media by order of Edi Rama and Altin Dumani, regarding alleged new episodes involving the Meta-Kryemadhi couple.
I understand their passion to forcibly keep in the public eye a couple that no longer exists even legally, for over a year now.
In fact, Altin Dumani’s passion is so intense to keep this couple alive in public perception, and in the service of his investigations ongoing for six years now—under the orders of Charles McGonigal and Edi Rama since December 2019—that even in the indictment communicated to me on May 27, my status was still listed as married, when in reality this status has not existed legally for a year.
Even more shameful are the news reports claiming that an illegal credit card implicating Ilir Meta has been discovered.
No illegal act has ever been committed by Ilir Meta, nor can one ever be committed by him—neither in the Republic of Albania, nor in the USA, nor in any other country.
The public will witness this clearly during the full trial, which cannot be “closed” like the “closed lists” system, but will be open to the citizens. There, we will dismantle the accusations made by Edi Rama’s servants, and everyone will see even the “witnesses” of Edi Rama.
Ilir Meta takes responsibility only for Ilir Meta and for no one else.
Ilir Meta is not responsible even for his children, who are of legal age and whom he has always advised to be examples of respect for the law—and much less can he be held responsible for his cousins, as one of them, as you know, was even a friend of Charles McGonigal, the initiator—at Edi Rama’s request—of the investigations against Ilir Meta, both for the CEZ-DIA issue and for the Bami case.
But Rama’s prosecutors are asking Ilir Meta to be held accountable for his cousins, as well as for the friends and acquaintances of others.
Since we are talking about lobbying and the Leadership of the Freedom Party is well aware, I have a question for the public:
What about the letter rogatory for Charles McGonigal, who has been sentenced to 4 years in prison—is it sent or is it being delayed because it’s being “sent by swimming across the ocean to USA”?
I sincerely thank my lawyer, Mr. Kujtim Cakrani, for his excellent and principled defense!
